Named for its romantic and subtly seductive nature (2-time Chinese champion and WBC finalist Jeremy Zhang is among its victims), Juliette is among Ninety Plus' sweetest coffees. Like rosé versus white or red, it manifests both the clarity of the classic floral and citrus profile of traditional geisha coffee, while being balanced with depth and creaminess in structure.

About the terroir and the farmer:

The essence of the Ninety Plus brand experience lives in the Ninety Plus Estates. Located on the western slopes of the Barú Volcano, these are the first and only places in the world where ancient Ethiopian coffees are grown on this scale under full forest canopies. Like vast ecological parks where coffee is grown as part of the forest community, these pristine playgrounds encompass networks of trails connecting experiences ranging from waterfalls and pre-Columbian petroglyphs to giant trees, volcanic views and jaguar bathing pools. Founder Joseph Brodsky partners with Guillermo Saint Malo Eleta (Eleta Family Investment Fund) to challenge the value chain in the coffee industry and innovate value to the end product. Joseph leads innovation by pushing the boundaries of quality and craftsmanship. He had the opportunity to purchase this large property (~200 hectares) in 2009 and had a vision to reforest his historic cattle ranches with native tree species while planting the shade-loving Ethiopian Gesha coffee under the canopy. With its first significant production in 2014, Ninety Plus Gesha Estates coffee was used to win the first of 5 World Brewers Cup Championships in 6 years. Ninety Plus Gesha Estates proves that coffee can be used to reforest and conserve tropical lands while producing the highest quality coffees in the world.
