The collection, which was developed in close collaboration with artisans, is a reinterpretation of traditional Japanese tableware for the modern lifestyle. Whether it is clay and glaze or the sensitive, temperature and moisture-dependent changes during firing - numerous inherited knowledge and skills went into the development of these products.  The size and shape of the product vary due to the manufacturing process of each item, as does the appearance of the unevenness of the colored glaze. Some products may take on a texture similar to burns on the surface. This is a unique glaze effect called "Yo-hen", an unintended change in color that shows up on the ceramic and porcelain after firing.
